I love everything about Star Wars. I love watching the films but I'm just as amazed about how they were made. Vanity Fair recently posted an article with behind the scenes photographs from the shooting of The Empire Strikes Back (my favourite Star Wars film) and they are some of the best behind the scenes shots I've seen.
I particular love the image above, the filming of the opening title sequence. I have always wondered how they did that back then without After Effects and computers. Seeing a process like that gets me excited about how I can make my own work and that you can always find a way to do something.
